Ursula is currently a thesis year student in MFA in Directing at Columbia University in NYC. She is a Radio/Television/Film graduate with a European History minor from Northwestern University.

She wrote and directed several grant-recipient films during her time at Northwestern, most notably her senior directing project and the 2011-2012 Northwestern Women Filmmaker's Alliance grant, War is Kind, and the 2012 Niteskool music video, in addition to serving as a crewhead on dozens of student films.

She has also worked on professional sets like Transformers 3, as well as interning at AMC in Original Programming.

In the year in between NU and CU, Ursula was a freelance editor and a distribution assistant for a Sundance fest film, FOURPLAY, directed by Kyle Henry. She was also the Post-Production Associate at See3, a Chicago-based interactive communications agency that works exclusively with non-profits before moving to NYC.

In her free time, Ursula plays mandolin, hangs out with her cat, and writes self-deprecating fiction. Although she has lived all over the US and abroad, she considers Madison, Alabama to be home.
